Hi everyone! My name is Allie Dalton and I will be serving as your President for AED this 2024-2025 school year. I am a junior at UWF majoring in Biomedical Sciences and minoring in Sports and Exercise Psychology. I am planning on going to medical school after graduation with the goal to become a surgeon after medical school. In addition to AED, I serve as a General Chemistry I and ll Success Leader, Organic Chemistry Success, Biology Success and I TA for Intro to Human Anatomy. I also do research with Dr. Cavnar in his Undergraduate research lab where we study the effects of dopamine on neutrophil cell adhesion along with other immunological functions. Outside of work and school, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, working out, and trying new things!

Hi everyone! My name is Chloe Rook, and I will be serving as your Vice President for the 2024-2025 school year. I am a junior majoring in biomedical science, and I am on the pre-PA track. I am originally from Canada, but I live in Panama City Beach now! My goal is to become a PA and attend Florida State University’s Physician Assistant Program. Outside of AED, I volunteer at Health and Hope Clinic. Over the summer, I do research at a cardiology clinic, where we the use of research digital intervention on heart failure patients. I am also apart of the Women’s cross country team and a lifeguard! Outside of academics, I love running, going to new restaurants, and spending time with my loved ones.

My name is Desi McQueen, and I am a senior at the University of West Florida, majoring in Biomedical Sciences. I am a proud member of the Kugelman Honors Program and the STEM Scholars Program, which support my academic and research endeavors. As the secretary of the AED Club, I manage communications, coordinate meetings, and assist in organizing events to promote the club’s mission of fostering leadership and professional development.
Additionally, I am involved with the African American Student Association and the Chemistry Club, contributing to a dynamic and inclusive campus community. With plans to attend medical school after graduation, I am committed to pursuing a career in medicine. Beyond my academic and extracurricular activities, I enjoy running and playing basketball, and find creative outlet in chess and piano. These hobbies help me maintain a well-rounded and fulfilling college experience.

Hey everyone! My name is Madison Miller and I will be serving as the Volunteer Coordinator for the 2024-2025 school year. I am a Junior at UWF majoring in Biomedical Sciences and minoring in Psychology as well as Interdisciplinary Sciences. My goal is to go to P.A. school at Florida State University's Physician Assistant Program after graduation. My life outside of AED consists of volunteering at the Health and Hope Clinic and being a success leader for Biology I. In my free time, I love being in the water, spending time with my friends, going home to visit my family, and traveling!

Hi there, My name is Heaven Brandt andI will be serving as your treasurer for the 2024-2025 academic year. I am a senior Biomedical Sciences major, and after graduation I plan on getting my PhD in Immunology and furthering current research on autoimmune diseases. I am currently a research student under Dr. Cavnar, studying the effects of dopamine and various medications on your immune system to better understand how other neurotransmitters impact the immune system. Along with AED, I am both a Chem 1 and Chem 2 success leader and a Chem 1 lab TA. Outside of school and research, I love to read books, craft, and spend time with my family and friends.
